I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the HCPC. I gained my qualification at the University of South Africa, which focused on working with individuals, couples and families. Following this, I worked for the South African Military service, where I gained invaluable experience with a wide range of psychological and emotional difficulties. After moving to the UK in 2015, I spent three years working for the NHS, before leaving to go into private practice in 2018.
Ever since I can remember, I have always been curious about why people behave the way they do. I always say that Psychology found me as a career, as it felt like a natural fit for my curiosity and enthusiasm for working with people. I love what I do, and I love connecting with people from all walks of life. Fundamentally, I believe that all people have an innate resilience, given the right conditions.
My aim is to work quickly and efficiently, while respecting the pace that you require. My approach is integrative, meaning that the intervention will be unique to you and draw from a large pool of theory and techniques to find a solution that works for you. I work in a humanitarian and interpersonal way, drawing from theories like person-centered, solution focused, interpersonal, narrative, and systemic therapies. I work with a broad range of difficulties, and have developed a special interest in working with anxiety, relationship issues and self-esteem/identity difficulties.
